ABOUT Bicycle Workshop

Bicycle Workshop is a specialist repair shop, that means we will take on any type of repair, and we will do repairs on bicycles that a lot of the other bicycle shops are wary of like those with hub gears and especially “Dutch” bicycles.

We also carry a very extensive range of spares and accessories. We try to concentrate on a lot of the components that are not as readily available but also have a good selection of the more easily obtainable as well. As a speciality we keep every Brooks leather saddle in stock and a stock of spares for them. A company rep we have known for years recently described the shop as “an Aladdin’s cave for the bicycle enthusiast, complimented by friendly and experienced technicians”.

If you want to buy a bicycle we may not be the shop for you, as we do not sell most bicycles, unless you want something a bit different and not available in every shop. We do sell the Brompton Bicycle and try to always have some in stock and we do the Pashley bicycles to special order.

To get a repair or service done during the week booking is necessary – we think this is because we are so good at what we do – so we do not pre-book on Saturday and that is reserved for smaller jobs. However it is so popular that there is a queue before we open and we are full before 9.00
